Millcreek Summer Sizzler Baseball Tournaments 14U

The Millcreek Summer Sizzler is a long running youth baseball tournament series that marks the start of the summer season in Erie and consistently draws teams from across Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and beyond. Hosted by the Millcreek Legion Post 773 Baseball Club, the event features multiple age divisions throughout the summer and is known for its well organized competition and welcoming baseball community. The Sizzler has grown significantly over its more than twenty year history, evolving into one of the region’s most recognizable summer baseball traditions.

Games are played at several high quality facilities including McDowell High School’s Hanlon Athletic Complex, Feidler Field, the David Long Complex at Walnut Creek Middle School, and Scott Park. Many venues now feature newly installed artificial turf, allowing teams to play through inclement weather with minimal delays and ensuring a dependable tournament schedule. Teams typically receive a multi game format that guarantees consistent playing time and creates a competitive yet development focused experience.

The tournament frequently hosts a range of age groups, including 10U, 11U, 12U, and 14U divisions, with some weekends featuring 30 or more participating teams. In many years, the 14U event kicks off the summer with a three game minimum and a championship game for the top performers. The series attracts strong travel and all star programs that value the opportunity to compete on quality fields against opponents from several states, making it both a competitive and memorable experience for athletes and families.

With its combination of upgraded facilities, competitive structure, and long standing community support, the Millcreek Summer Sizzler continues to be a highlight of Erie’s summer sports calendar. Athletes, coaches, and families return year after year to enjoy a well run tournament series that celebrates the spirit of youth baseball and offers players the chance to develop their skills in a lively and encouraging environment.
