Erie’s Presque Isle Bay is a 5.8 square mile recreational amenity in downtown Erie. The bay is approximately 4.6 miles long and 1.8 miles wide with an average depth of 20 feet. Popular activities on the bay include swimming, sailing, crew, diving, kayaking, fishing, sailboarding, and waterskiing. Events previously hosted on Presque Isle Bay include the HydroFlight National Tour, Elite Poker Runs, Kayak Bass Fishing and more.
Four hotels are located directly on Erie's bayfront, and there are more than 1,800 hotel rooms total within five miles of Highmark Amphitheater.
Erie’s waterfront is lined with marinas, public parks and piers which can accommodate thousands of spectators. Highmark Amphitheater, a special events facility in Liberty Park on the waterfront, can host up to 5,000 people and is a popular special events venue.
