Top Teams Compete in 2025 CCA Women’s D2 Tip-Off Classic this Weekend

This weekend, the nation’s top NCAA Division II women’s basketball teams will compete in the 2025 CCA Women’s D2 Tip-Off Classic, presented by AHN Sports Medicine and AHN Pavilion. Eight teams will take the court, with four teams recently ranked in the WBCA Division II Preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll.

The three-day tournament will be held Friday through Sunday at Gannon University’s Highmark Events Center and PennWest Edinboro’s McComb Fieldhouse.

Participating teams include host schools Edinboro and Gannon (5), along with visiting teams Ferris State, Minnesota State (15), North Georgia (4), Northern Michigan, PennWest California (Pa.), and Union (2).

There will be 12 games spread across both venues, with six games at each school. Game times will run Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at both venues. To view the full schedule, click here.

“The CCA Tip-Off Classic features an exceptional field of teams and gives the Erie community the opportunity to see nationally ranked DII teams compete,” said Mark Jeanneret, executive director of the Erie Sports Commission. “It also allows host schools Gannon and Edinboro to showcase their teams at home while facing top-tier competition throughout the tournament weekend.”

Gannon (5) vs. Union (2), Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Highmark Events Center
Edinboro vs. Minnesota State (15), Friday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m. at McComb Fieldhouse
Edinboro vs. North Georgia (4), Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at McComb Fieldhouse
Gannon (5) vs. North Georgia (4), Sunday, Nov. 9 at 4 p.m. at Highmark Event Center
