Special Project Assistant

In May 2026, Rachel Myers was named the Special Project Assistant of the Erie Sports Commission.

Rachel is a 2026 graduate of Penn State Behrend with a bachelor's degree in Media and Communications. During her time at Penn State, she served as the social media manager for the Media and Communications Club as well as a member of Girl's Club. She has experience in social media, public relations, advertising, radio, film, and video editing. She completed her internship with Erie Sports Commission where she learned the value of sports tourism and expanded her knowledge and experience in social media, marketing, public relations and advertising.

Rachel is responsible for marketing and event initiatives as well as taking the lead and assisting on multiple projects, making her a valuable addition to the Erie Sports Commission team.

Raised in Erie, Pennsylvania, Rachel is dedicated to continue making Erie a prime destination for sporting events and tourism. She looks forward to contributing to upcoming events, supporting the community through sports and continuing to grow professionally in her role. With six years of customer service experience, she is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences, building strong relationships and ensuring every interaction reflects a high level of professionalism and care.
