
The National Club Basketball Association (NCBBA), Men’s and Women’s National Championships and the USA Ultimate DIII Men’s Conference Championship take place in Erie this weekend, April 11-13.
The NCBBA hosted by CollClubSports, returns to Erie for the fourth consecutive season. The entirety of the Men’s tournament will be held at the Hagerty Family Events Center, while the Women’s tournament will begin with the first round at Mercyhurst Athletic Center on Friday before moving to Hagerty on Saturday for the semifinals and Sunday for the championship game.
Both events will feature eight NCBBA teams competing in a single-elimination, three-day tournament to determine the 2025 national champions.
The Women's tournament will include top collegiate teams such as Boston College, VCU, Ohio State, Washington University in St. Louis, Penn, Sacred Heart, Syracuse and Michigan State.
The Men's tournament will feature teams from Ohio State, Boston College, James Madison, Northeastern, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Fairfield, UCLA and Notre Dame.
Tournament play begins Friday with games at noon, 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m., and 7:30 pm for both Men’s and Women’s teams. On Saturday, the Women’s semifinals will tip off at noon and 5 p.m., and the Men’s semifinals at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Championship Sunday will feature the Women’s title game at 10 a.m., with the Men’s championship set for 1 p.m. Tournament brackets, game schedules, and ticketing information can be found at ncbbabasketball.org.

Also taking place this weekend, the USA Ultimate DIII Men’s Conference Championship will be held at Penn State Behrend’s turf field on Saturday and Sunday. This event will feature five teams from the region competing in a one-day ultimate frisbee tournament.
“This tournament will showcase some of the best ultimate frisbee talent in the region and provide an exciting competition for players and fans alike,” said Hayden Weaver, USA Ultimate Regional Director. “This event further solidifies Erie as a fantastic host for diverse sporting events and showcases our commitment to supporting a variety of athletic competitions.”
