DESCRIPTION: The Race of Champions will return to Lake Erie Speedway in North East for a two-day racing program on Friday and Saturday. The event will feature eight racing divisions, including the Race of Champions Modified Series. More than 180 cars are expected to compete with participants traveling from outside of Erie County including New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and North Carolina.   <br />

Racing begins Friday at 7 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Saturday’s program begins at 6 p.m. with gates opening at 4 p.m. A practice session will also be held on Thursday. The event serves as a major annual gathering for short-track, asphalt racing and draws competitors from multiple regions.<br />
